The Post House wins 2004 Communicator Award EAU CLAIRE, WI -- January 17, 2005 -- Don Byrne, owner of The Post House in Eau Claire, recently received an Award of Excellence from the prestigious 2004 Communicator Awards Video Competition. The award is presented to individuals "whose ability to communicate elevates them among the best in the field." The entry for the Marathon County Sheriff's Department titled "Ecstasy: Dancing on the Edge" earned the Award of Excellence in the External Communications/Non-Profit category. The documentary program was designed to educate children in grades 6 through 12, as well as adults, about the dangers of Ecstasy use. The program is a follow-up to their award-winning DVD on Methamphetamine prevention and awareness. The Communicator Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding works in the communications field. Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. This year there were 2,937 entries from 48 states, the District of Columbia, and seven other countries in the Communicator Awards Video Competition. The program was written by Rucinski & Reetz Communication of Wausau. Videography and editing were done by Don Byrne of The Post House. |
