The Post House wins multiple awards for Teen Gun Violence and Methamphetamine and Drug-Endangered Children programs EAU CLAIRE, WI -- November 16, 2005 -- Don Byrne, owner of The Post House in Eau Claire, recently received four awards for excellence in video production for programs entered into separate competitions this past summer. The three videos entered include Methamphetamine and Drug Endangered Children, Teen Gun Violence: A Dead End Choice, and the music video Angels Among Us. Teen Gun Violence: A Dead End Choice, a non-broadcast documentary, won a Silver Award from the International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA) Davey Awards and a Certificate of Merit from the Chicago Film Festival's International Communications Film and Video Competition (the InterComm Awards). Angels Among Us and Methamphetamine and Drug Endangered Children won Awards of Merit in the Madison (Wisconsin) Media Communications Association-International (MCA-I) WAVE Awards. The 2005 Davey Awards received over 2,500 entries from the finest smaller ad agencies, interactive agencies, production firms, in-house creative professionals, graphic designers, design and public relations firms in the world. The quality of work was outstanding. Entries were received from across the U.S. and from several other countries. The WAVE Awards is a competition that recognizes outstanding work in the field of visual communications for web, audio, and video production. The videos were produced by The Post House of Eau Claire and Rucinski & Reetz Communications of Wausau with the assistance of schools, law enforcement agencies, treatment facilities, community organizations, and businesses from around the state. |
