The Post House wins multiple awards

EAU CLAIRE, WI -- May 30, 2007 -- Don Byrne, owner of The Post House in Eau Claire, recently received five awards for excellence in video production for programs entered in separate competitions.

The videos honored were Sacred Heart Hospital’s Heart of the Matter: Smoczyk Family Journey and Realityworks’ Change the World Interactive DVD.

Heart of the Matter: Smoczyk Family Journey won three separate awards: a Bronze Telly from the Telly Awards, a Gold MarCom Creative Award from the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, and a Cameofest Gold Award from the Greater Wisconsin Media Communications Association-International.

The video was written and produced by Jennifer Block of Sacred Heart Hospital with videography, motion graphic design, and editing by Don Byrne of The Post House.

Change the World, a sales and marketing DVD, won a Cameofest Gold Award in the Sales and Marketing category and a Cameofest Silver Award in the Interactive Multimedia category.

The video was written and produced by Rebecca Dienger of Realityworks, with videography, motion graphic design, and editing by Don Byrne of The Post House. DVD authoring was done by Jon Kjarsgaard of The Post House.

Founded in 1979, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. The 2007 Telly Awards received over 13,000 entries and is the largest and most prestigious award of its kind, receiving entries from all 50 states and five continents around the world.

The MarCom Creative Awards is an international competition for marketing and communication professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of marketing and communication programs. Each year there are over 5,000 entries from throughout the United States and from several other countries. Typically about fifteen percent win Platinum Awards and another fifteen percent win Gold Awards.

Cameofest is an awards competition that recognizes outstanding works in the field of visual communications. All entries are judged by industry professionals from other chapters of MCA-I on message design, creative design, and production quality.
